Site Visit 1: Vives Aprende: Social School of Hospitality
Part of the Vives Project, the Social School of Hospitality works in one of the most deprived neighbourhoods in Spain, Torreblanca. The school trains people who often are excluded from employment such as people who have a disability greater and victims of violence or abuse. The school has a 70% rate of insertion. This visit adds value to the event as it gives a chance to explore the methodology of a successful social innovation programme aimed at addressing exclusion in employment.

Site Visit 2: Vives Emplea Torreblanca
The Vives Project is an innovative project aimed at encouraging and supporting inclusive entrepreneurship aimed at people at risk of social and occupational exclusion. This project is part of a strategy of social innovation and actions against unemployment in the City of Seville. This visit adds value to the event as it gives a chance to explore the methodology of a successful social innovation programme aimed at addressing exclusion in employment.

Site Visit 3: ZEMOS98 – a more than 20 years operating cooperative supporting the fight for social transformation

Join us for visit to the local Social Innovation organisation ZEMOS98, which have been operating from Sevilla for more than 20 years. ZEMOS98 is a cooperative with the purpose to support the fight for social transformation.

The site visit will combine a visit to ZEMOS98 space, learning from their work in the field including projects like NEMESIS, a EU project on education and social innovation, Fundaction (a participatory funding platform), Concomitentes (on how to promote socially engaged art) and the Commonspoly (a game which promotes cooperation and The Commons). The session will end with a Fishbowl session including all participants in a conversation on how we are connect SI processes for shared learning and how we enable shared co-funded and cross-sector SI in the future.

Site visit 4: Tejares 11 Coop (T11) – a citizen’s laboratory for social innovation
Do you want to feel what the sharing and co-operation is really about? T11 (Tejares 11 Coop) Espacio Creativo is a diverse, multidisciplinary collective of creators and builders — architects, designers, craftspeople, wordsmiths — whose common objective is to live with dignity from the fruits of their labour. Operating within a structure that promotes knowledge-generation and activities to enhance the urban fabric, T11 invests in the recovery and renovation of traditional industrial spaces while promoting synergies between the different fields represented within the collective, and broadening their offer with the inauguration of affordable, attractive work-spaces. Underpinning it all is a profound focus on people, community and society.

Site visit 5: Community resilience innovation – Experiences in the Pumarejo neighbourhood and beyond

Through this visit we will explore different experiences of community resilience innovation. Projects that are experimenting innovative ways of organizing at the community level to foster social, economical and ecological sustainability. Both in urban areas and rural areas. On the one hand we will visit the Pumarejo neighbourhood in Seville, the heart of the community resilience innovation in the city, where will have the opportunity to meet few key ecosocial projects. On the other hand we will have the privilege to have as guests people from Los Portales Ecovillage, one of the oldest ecovillages in Spain, that will share with us their experience.
